Primera Welcomes NE Nursery, as Newest Member-Owner, Strengthening Industry Collaboration and Growth
October 2025 — Primera is proud to announce that Northeast Nursery, Inc. has joined the cooperative as its newest Member-Owner. Founded in 1982, Northeast Nursery has built a strong reputation as a premier distributor of landscape, turf, and ornamental supplies.
What began as a single landscape supply company focused on professional customers has evolved into a multi-division operation serving contractors, turf managers, golf courses, sports facilities, garden centers, and greenhouse growers across six states.
Over the decades, Northeast Nursery has expanded to meet the changing needs of the green industry. The 1990s marked the company’s entry into the growing hardscape sector, followed by the opening of a 22-acre contractor location in Peabody, Massachusetts in 2005, complete with a 30,000-square-foot store. This milestone paved the way for product line expansion into irrigation and landscape lighting.
By 2009, Northeast Nursery had introduced its first dedicated turf salesperson, followed in 2010 by its first golf-focused representative. Today, the company’s Turf & Ornamental Division includes 16 road sales professionals providing sales and delivery coverage throughout all six New England states. Northeast Nursery is also proud to serve as the exclusive Rain Bird Golf Irrigation Distributor for five New England states and eastern Connecticut.
In addition, its Greenhouse & Nursery Division supplies garden centers and greenhouses with growing essentials, bagged soils, mulches, and decorative stone. The company operates from its headquarters in Peabody, MA, with satellite locations in Londonderry, NH, and Dennisport, MA.
